[Anagrams, epigrams and other poems], [17th century].

Manuscript on paper, in a single hand, of a collection of epigrams, including occasional verses upon such events as "Sr Thomas Wodehouse marrying with Blanch Carey," as well as other subjects such as "A Cinquefoile of Vertues," "Of Poor and Proude," and "Some old epistolary passes between my friend Mr Hubart & myself, about the yeer 1669 & 1667." Dos-a-dos, in the same hand, is a collection of about 233 anagrammatic poems based on the names of Wodehouse's relatives and acquaintances, concluding with "Mr. Th. Ames Anagram upon my name, with my own paraphrase," and prefaced by a poem titled "A Petty Preface Apologeticall to the following Anagrams & Toyes."
